ADDITIONAL ANNOUNCEMENTS/REMINDERS

IJTMB Indexed in PubMed Central and Quertle

The first of two editorials in the IJTMB’s March 2011 issue announces in detail the inclusion of this journal in NIH’s PubMed Central and its open-access affiliated Quertle database, the latter of which provides a semantic-based option to the more conventional exclusive use of keywords for literature searches. PubMed Central and Quertle are now in addition to the following six databases already indexing this journal: Directory of Open Access Journals, CrossRef, Healthindex, Index Copernicus, Google Scholar, and Hinari.

Outbound Linking Feature Added to the IJTMB’s HTML Entries

As announced previously, beginning with the December 2010 issue an outbound linking option has been added to the HTML version of each editorial/article entry. Specifically, this feature provides a direct outbound link from a referenced article in an IJTMB entry to CrossRef, PubMed Central, and/or PubMed if one or more of these three databases has indexed the reference.

IN MEMORIAM

Real Gaboriault, MSc, PhD (1951–2011)

All of us who had the privilege of knowing and working with Dr. Real Gaboriault indeed mourn the loss of a very dear friend and deeply respected colleague. He was and continues to be a source of inspiration for all of us involved in advancing the massage and bodywork professions. The memory of Real’s visionary spirit and sensitivity to those in need remain as an ongoing gift to those of us who have been influenced by his life. A most fitting tribute was paid to Real by his friend and colleague, Daniel Turcotte, in the March 12, 2011 issue of the Kine-Concept Institute’s e-Newsletter.
